Pankaj Tripathi Opens Up About Wife Mridula’s Role Behind His Success And Early Struggles
After the wedding, he reportedly had no money and his wife supported her for all the struggling years.

We all know about the actor Pankaj Tripathi, a familiar name in the Indian film industry. He worked in several well-known films which created a massive craze among the fans. He was seen in films like Kaala, Super 50, Fukrey, Lakshya, Agneepath, Masaan and OMG 2. But very few people know about his love life. According to media reports, he fell in love with his wife in the first sight he saw her. During his struggling days, his wife stood by his side. He has gone through various occasions when he had no money. He mentioned in an old episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati that his wife supported him financially for around eight years.

While appearing in the show, the actor mentioned that he fell in love after seeing his wife, Mridula Tripathi, for the first time while travelling. “I was sitting on the upper berth of the train when I saw Mridula for the first time. She was sitting in the lower berth along with her Mother.” Pankaj was reportedly staring at her and spotting him doing so one of his co-passengers commented that she would be a perfect match, which gave her more confidence.

Talking in the show, the actor mentioned in his early days, he had to go through various challenges in life to emerge as one of the most well-known celebrities in the Indian film industry. When he traveled to Mumbai he had to stay on footpaths and railway stations since he had no money.

After getting married, he reportedly had no money and his wife supported her for all those years. He said, “I came to Mumbai in 2004 and Gangs of Wasseypur happened in 2012. For eight years, no one knew what I was doing. I didn’t realise the hardship because my wife would teach kids, our needs were limited, and we lived in a small house. She earned our living. I didn’t sleep at Andheri station during my days of struggle, thanks to my wife.”
