Parineeti Chopra REVEALS If Marriage With Raghav Chadha Will Affect Her Work: 'This Is Not How...'
Parineeti Chopra recently opened about balancing two careers as well as her marriage with Raghav Chadha.

While Parineeti Chopra continues to prove her mettle with rich content-driven and commercial films, the actress recently kicked off her music career. Ask her about handling and balancing two careers—acting and singing. The actress has a thoughtful approach to the same. The actress has also begun a new chapter in her personal life with her marriage to Raghav Chadha. In a new interview, she shared if her marriage is going to affect her professional life.

While speaking to ETimes, the actress stated that being married doesn’t mean she has to ‘slow down’. “This pattern should break. This is not how life is. Now that I am married, it doesn’t mean that I have to slow down. I wish people would not put everyone in that slot. Different people have different marriages, relationships and life. Some people work even on the day they are getting married. In our case, I am an actor, while he is a politician. We both live in different cities. So, it’s a different kind of marriage. Our marriage doesn’t affect work and work doesn’t affect our marriage. Everything has to go hand-in-hand. It is one life which has all these departments in it and all of them are simultaneously running.”

The actress further added, “I want to pursue two careers at the same time. It is an exciting challenge to take. I will work hard. I am getting into the skin of a musician and learning more about the world of concerts. I don’t want to ruin it by overthinking. I am just going to juggle it. Personally, I have a different mindset from other actors. All these things are just a part of my life and not my entire life. My family, friends, holidays, scuba diving, music, husband, career and health are all important and equal in my life.”

Earlier in an interview with Pinkvilla, the actress shared what influenced her to begin her music career, she said, “My only and biggest influence in music has been my father. In fact, my mother too but in a very different way. She used to tell me stories about when she changed my nappies, and she would sing songs to me, right from ABCD, to the ‘Hills Are Alive’. She would sing Mariah Carey songs to me as well. I remember by the time I was three, my father used to do stage shows, and I would stand next to him and sing along. So I feel like my entire childhood was about music.”

Meanwhile, on the film front, she will soon be seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila, alongside Diljit Dosanjh.
