Actor Shreyas Talpade is gearing up for his upcoming box-office outing titled Kartam Bhugtam slated to release in cinema halls on May 17, 2024. Amidst this upcoming release, Shreyas interacted with the YouTuber Siddharth Kannan. He expressed his views about the changing tastes of the viewers, especially among the fans of the stalwarts.
Kannan asked Shreyas why star’s followers are opting out of watching their films in theatres, even when they are Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar. The Om Shanti Om actor replied, “Log thak gaye hain. Log ab trailer mein pehchan lete hain ki yeh (film) kya hogi. Iske liye jaana hain ki nahi jaana hai (People have become tired. They now recognise from the trailer what this (film) will be like. Whether to go for it or not."
Talking about Shreyas’ upcoming film, Kartam Bhugtam stars an ensemble cast of Madhoo, Vijay Raaz, Aksha Pardasany and others. Soham Shah has written and directed this film. Billed to be a psychological thriller film, Kartam Bhugtam explores the ancient concepts of astrology and karma.
Shreyas Talpade opened up about his experience of acting in Kartam Bhugtam with ANI. He said, “Soham’s vision for the film is exceptional, and his direction truly elevates the entire project. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Gandhar Films & Studio Pvt. Ltd. on this project and their dedication to the film has been inspiring. I can’t wait for audiences to witness this unique story come to life on the big screen". The film is set to be released in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
Zee Music Company unveiled the trailer of Kartam Bhugtam on May 5 which generated a huge buzz amongst the audience. The trailer shows how Shreyas’s character returns to India from a foreign and aims to start a business outside India. He, however, faces problematic situations upon visiting the ancestral sanitorium of his house.
Social media users loved the trailer and one of them called it inspired by the 2020 web series Samantar. Others also appreciated the makers for trying out a novel concept.
