Priyanka Chopra has begun preparing for the much-anticipated second season of the spy action thriller series Citadel. After recently wrapping up the shooting of her upcoming film The Bluff, directed by Frank E Flowers and co-written with Joe Ballarini, Priyanka is now diving into her next project. She gave fans a sneak peek of her new look for Citadel on Instagram, where she posted a video from the backseat of a car. In the clip, Priyanka flaunts her striking new honey-hued eye colour. Her style was equally impressive as she wore a beige and white striped top with subtle nude makeup. She complemented the look with chic golden hoops and eye-catching necklaces.
In the clip, Priyanka asks her followers, “New eye colour for Citadel, what do you think?" She captioned the video with, “Citadel prep! Here we go…!"
Citadel is a gripping thriller series created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh and David Weil with the Russo brothers acting as executive producers. The first season of the show premiered on April 28, 2023. The season stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra as Citadel agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh respectively. The main cast also includes Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville.
For the upcoming second season, Citadel will feature fresh faces alongside the original cast, including Merle Dandridge, Rahul Kohli, Michael Trucco, Matt Berry and Gabriel Leone in recurring roles. They will join new edition Jack Reynor, further expanding the series’ ensemble.
Meanwhile, several spin-offs of Citadel have been announced, set in diverse locations like the Italian Alps, India, Spain and Mexico. The teaser for the Italian series, Citadel: Diana, was released last month. Directed by Arnaldo Catinari and developed by Alessandro Fabbri, the series stars Italian actress and singer Matilda De Angelis in the lead role. The ensemble cast also includes Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Julia Piaton, Thekla Reuten, Giordana Faggiano, Daniele Paoloni, Bernhard Schütz and Filippo Nigro. This six-episode espionage drama is set to stream on Prime Video from October 10.
Following Citadel: Diana, the Indian series Citadel: Honey Bunny will debut on November 7. Starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead roles, the series recently released its teaser showcasing both the actors in intense and high-octane action sequences.
Joining them are talented actors such as Sikandar Kher, KK Menon and Shakib Saleem who will be seen in supporting roles. Citadel: Honey Bunny will also be available for streaming on Prime Video.
