Priyanka Chopra's Mother Strongly Reacts to The Cut Article: Don't Want to Give Publicity to Fools
Priyanka Chopra's mother Madhu Chopra has strongly reacted to The Cut's now-removed article which referred to the actress as a "global scam artist."

Priyanka Chopra's mother Madhu Chopra has strongly reacted to The Cut's now-removed article which referred to the actress as a "global scam artist." The piece, written by Mariah Smith, received widespread criticism for the deliberate poor light in which the former Quantico star was portrayed.

Breaking her silence on the same, Priyanka's mother has said it's a happy phase for her family and that they don't want to be "disturbed by such idiotic things."

"I am happy that my daughter is married to someone she truly loves. I don't want to give publicity to those fools. There are some donkeys who do anything they feel like, but their actions don't affect us," Madhu Chopra was quoted as saying by Filmfare.

The article suggested that Priyanka “scammed” a young, rich and white American singer Nick Jonas into marrying her when all he wanted was "a possible fling."

While Nick has yet to respond to the article, Priyanka reacted to it at an event in Delhi recently. She said, "I don't even want to react or comment. It's not even in my stratosphere. I'm in a happy place at this moment. These kinds of random things can't disturb it."

Nick's brother, Joe Jonas, and his fiancée, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner also came to the newlyweds’ defense by tweeting disapprovingly about the piece.

Joe posted that the Cut should be “ashamed to have someone write such evil words. What Nick & Pri have is Beautiful Love,” while Sophie called the article “wildly inappropriate and totally disgusting.”

What's your reaction?
