Ranbir Kapoor Teases Lord Ram Look? Viral Video Shows Ramayan Star In a Lean, Clean Shaven Avatar

Ranbir Kapoor is rumoured to be playing Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan. Although official announcement is awaited, reports claim that Ranbir is set to start filming for the mythological drama in March 2024. It seems like Ranbir is prepared for the filming schedule. The actor’s recent outing revealed that Ranbir has toned down for the role and has kissed his bearded look goodbye.

On Monday, Ranbir was spotted attending an event with a clean-shaved look. The actor was seen sporting a casual tee with a pair of pants at the event. The actor appeared to have a leaner frame as compared to his buffed up look from a few months ago. In the video, Ranbir appeared to be in a rush. Watch the video below:

It is to see how Ranbir would look as Lord Ram. As reported by India Today, Ranbir Kapoor recently underwent a look test for his portrayal of Lord Ram in Nitesh Tiwari’s film. An insider told the entertainment portal that a photoshoot of Ranbir’s look test was held recently which impressed everyone from the team. The source also claimed that the director does not want Ranbir to gain extra muscle for the role of Lord Ram. Instead, he wants Ranbir to be in his lean avatar.

While Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of Ram in this movie, Sai Pallavi has been roped in for the role of Sita. KGF star Yash is also likely to play Ravana in the movie whereas Sunny Deol has reportedly been locked for the role of Hanuman. Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are also reportedly in talks for the roles of Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana respectively.

Besides Ramayan, Ranbir Kapoor will soon also be collaborating with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the movie – Love and War. It will also star Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead and will hit theatres on Christmas 2025.
