Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will reportedly return as the host of the upcoming ninth season of reality show 'Bigg Boss'.
The 49-year-old 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' star, who had been hosting the show from past five seasons, quit after the last installment was extended into a limited series called 'Bigg Boss Halla Bol'.
Director Farah Khan replaced him on the one-month long series, which saw the finalists of the eighth season competing with some wildcard entries for the title.
While there are rumours about Salman's return to the show, Colors channel, which airs the programmes, remained unavailable for comments.
Over the years, Salman's presence has undoubtedly been one of the major highlights of the show, which sees a bunch of celebrities locked up together inside a house for three months.
Last year before the eighth season commenced, Salman, 49, had said he was reluctant to return on the show as he had an extremely "tiring and painful" experience hosting the show in 2013.
