Sandeep Singh BREAKS Silence On Mouni Roy Cutting Ties After Sushant Singh Rajput's Death: 'I'm Deeply Hurt'

Sandeep Singh, the producer of ‘Jhund’ and ‘Sarbjit’, recently spoke about his strained relationship with actor Mouni Roy. He mentioned how their friendship deteriorated after he got involved in the controversy surrounding Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. Singh, now a director with the upcoming film ‘Safed’, shared that Mouni cut off all communication with him after his name got linked to the Sushant controversy.

In an interview with Times Now, Singh expressed his disappointment, saying that Mouni used to be a close friend who would hang out with him, attend events together, and even introduced him to her husband-to-be. However, when the Sushant controversy arose, she distanced herself and unfollowed him on Instagram. Singh also offered roles in his movie to Mouni and Sushant’s ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande, but they both backed out after Sushant’s tragic demise.

He shared, ““I’m deeply hurt by Mouni Roy. She was one of my best friends. She used to follow me on Instagram. We would hang out together and go for lunches and dinners. Whenever she wanted to meet a big filmmaker, I would go with her. I even met her husband Suraj Nambiar long before they got married. When the Sushant Singh Rajput controversy erupted, she was the first one who backed out and unfollowed me.”

Singh revealed that not only did Mouni stop responding to his messages, but she also excluded him from her wedding guest list. Despite this, he mentioned that he would still support her in times of need. Sandeep Singh faced scrutiny after Sushant’s death when it emerged that Sushant’s family was unfamiliar with him. To address accusations of dishonesty from fans, Singh shared alleged WhatsApp conversations with Sushant’s family.

He continued, “She didn’t have the guts to invite me to her wedding. But I want to tell Mouni that if something goes wrong with her, I’ll be the first person to go to her.”

Sushant Singh Rajput, known for his roles in ‘Kai Po Che!’, ‘Kedarnath’, ‘Chhichhore’, and ‘Dil Bechara’, deeply impacted the industry and his fans with his sudden passing on June 14, 2020.
