Satish Kaushik was born on April 13, 1956, in Haryana, but grew up in Delhi’s Karol Bagh. His journey into acting began during his time at the renowned Kirori Mai College of Delhi University. After graduating, he further honed his skills at the National School of Drama and the Film and Television Institute of India.

Satish Kaushik made his debut in the film Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro in 1983. However, it was his role as the cook, Calendar in the 1989 blockbuster hit Mr India that gained him popularity.

During his esteemed career of over three decades, Satish earned praises for his standout roles in films like Ram Lakhan, Deewana Mastana, Saajan Chale Sasural, Kyunki Main Jhooth Nahi Bolta, Udta Punjab (2016), Kaagaz (2021) among others.

Not only a talented actor, Satish also showcased his directorial skills with his debut film Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja in 1993. However, his first blockbuster hit as a director was Tere Naam in 2003. Other films that he has directed include Prem (1995), Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain (1999), Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai (2000) etc.
