Swara Bhaskar is one of those Bollywood stars who doesn’t shy away from expressing her opinion on political issues. The actress recently reacted to the Bhartiya Janata Party’s shock defeat in the Faizabad (Ayodhya) Lok Sabha seat, where the Ram Mandir was inaugurated recently. The election commission announced the results of Lok Sabha Elections 2024 on June 4. BJP suffered a devastating loss in the Faizabad constituency at the hands of Samajwadi Party’s Awadhesh Prasad. He defeated sitting BJP MP Lallu Singh by over 54,500 votes, a major upset in the recent Lok Sabha Elections.
Reacting to BJP’s defeat, Swara wrote, “Shree Ram ka naam badnaam karney waalon ko, unke naam par paap karney waalon ko Jai Siya Ram (Translation: To those who defame the name of Shri Ram, to those who commit sins in his name, Jai Siya Ram!)” on the social media platform X (formerly called Twitter). Along with her statement, the actress also posted the constituency result of Faizabad along with a meme template of the existence of god.

In another social media post, the actress wrote that the people of India defeated the hate, arrogance and corruption that engulfed India in this general election. She compared the downfall of BJP to the Titanic which was thought to be unsinkable but eventually sank.
They said the Titanic was unsinkable! And then one day.. it sank! Notwithstanding who forms the government, today hate, corruption, greed and arrogance have been defeated by India! ???????? ❤️
