Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand, was released on January 25. Based on patriotism, the film beautifully depicts the courage of forces and is inspired by the true events that occurred in 2019 in India. In a devastating terror attack in Pulwama, at least 40 CRPF personnel were killed on February 14. As the nation observes ‘Black Day’ for the fifth consecutive year, the team of the film Fighter dropped a post remembering the martyrs to pay respect to the soldiers who lost their lives during the tragic attack.
The clip shared by Marflix Pictures on its Instagram handle featured a few glimpses of the film emphasising on patriotism and the spirit of forces. Sharing the clip, the production house wrote, “Remembering and saluting the sacrifice of our brave soldiers we lost in the Pulwama attack.”

On February 14, 2019, a terror attack carried out in Pulwama, India, shook the entire nation, with people mourning the tragic loss of at least 40 CRPF lives. The incident occurred after a suicide bomber affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), identified as Adil Ahmad Dar, rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a bus on the Jammu-Kashmir National Highway carrying CRPF personnel. In response to the attack, Indian security forces launched a counter-attack, named ‘Operation Bandar’ on February 26, 2019. The forces conducted airstrikes on JeM camps in Pakistan’s Balakot region.
Meanwhile, Fighter opened to an overwhelming response as the audience showered the aerial action thriller with a lot of praise which eventually turned into the collection earned by the film. The film is nearing a collection worth Rs 350 crores in gross box office worldwide. Siddharth Anand’s directorial is presented by Viacom18 Studios in association with Marflix Pictures. The film boasts a stellar cast of Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, alongside Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Rishabh Sawhney, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Ashutosh Rana, Talat Aziz and Sharib Hashmi who played pivotal roles in the film.
