After releasing the film’s first song Aankh Marey on December 6, producer Karan Johar shared the second song of his upcoming film Simmba on Friday. Taking to Twitter, Johar wrote, “This one is bound to serenade everyone!"

Sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Tanishk Bagchi and Asees Kaur, Tere Bin will take you to the good old days of the ‘90s, when heroes and heroines used to romance in scenic Swiss locales with the picturesque Alps in the backdrop.

A rejigged version of the late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s popular track Tere Bin Nahi Lagda Dil Mera Dholna, this romantic ballad featuring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan can easily be mistaken for a classic Yash Chopra song.

In the 3.35-minute video, Ranveer plays the subdued lover serenading his beautiful companion as they make promises of forevers and happily-ever-afters. Tere Bin is starkly different from Aankh Marey—a party number—the remixed version of Arshad Warsi’s super-hit song from his 1996 film Tere Mere Sapne.

The Hindi remake of 2015 Telugu film Temper that starred Jr NTR, Simmba features Ranveer as Sangram Bhalerao, a corrupt cop who becomes a crusader of women’s safety after a girl he treats as his younger sister gets raped.

Directed by Rohit Shetty and co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, it also stars Sonu Sood and Ashutosh Rana in important roles. Simmba is slated to release on December 28.
