Director Rohit Shetty is gearing up for the release of his first ever web-series called Indian Police Force. During a promotional interview, he shared some interesting information about the first part of his blockbuster franchise, Singham. It is one of the biggest franchises in the Hindi film industry, which created records at the box office. According to reports, during the promotion of his upcoming web-series, Rohit revealed some facts about the 2011 film. In an interview with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa, he said that they were able to complete the film’s shoot in less than 5 months. Rohit Shetty said that it was possible because of his hardworking team that worked for 20-hours a day. He stated, “We all worked very hard to shoot that film. Singham was all set for release in 4.5 months and we used to work 20 hours a day. It won’t be my work and dedication alone, we need such a team.” He spoke further by saying that the same team has been with him all these years, and has never complained about working such long hours.
During the promotion of his other film Cirkus in 2022, Rohit revealed that Ajay Devgn heard the script of Singham at 2 am, and commenced the shooting in Goa at 7 am the following morning. Before Ajay heard the script, he landed in the country from London at around 10 at night. He got his hair styled for the role, but the costume trial took some time. So, by 11 to 12 at night, they started the script narration, which was completed by 2 am.
Rohit Shetty is set to release the third instalment in the franchise, which is titled Singham Again. The film stars an ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Jackie Shroff, and Tiger Shroff. It is being produced by Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande, under the banners of Reliance Entertainment, Jio Studios, Rohit Shetty Picturez and Ajay Devgn Films. It is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 15, 2024.
