Smriti Irani Sweetly Responds to Ekta Kapoor's Wish on Her 20th Wedding Anniversary

Smriti Irani and Ekta Kapoor’s relationship goes way beyond their professional association of several years. The two developed a friendship that has outlasted the actress-turned-politician’s television career. The two often express their love for each other on social media, just like this post by Ekta on Irani’s marriage anniversary.

Ekta wished the union minister and her husband Zubin Irani on their 20th wedding anniversary with an adorable throwback picture of the couple. She wrote, “Happie anniversary love birds.” Smriti cutely replied, “thanchuuu.” Former actress and CBFC board member Vani Tripathi Tikoo also wished Smriti in the comments, saying, “Happy anniversary @smritiiraniofficial what a gorgeous pic…”

Smriti herself posted a long note on Instagram dedicated to her husband, with a video looking back at their journey together. She wrote, “20 years of friendship, adventures galore.. I am admittedly not the easiest person to be with .. not a regular housewife or a homebody, always running to chase my dreams while you made sure sanity prevailed in the chaos that ensued … can I say thank you enough I guess not .. coz dosti mein no sorry no thank you …

“That’s what our 20 years have been about .. about me being cheesy & filmy and you being a class apart… about me being a bathroom singer & you dancing with absolute abandon & joy .. here’s to the opposites that mercifully stayed attracted to each other for 2 decades .. Happy 20th Anniversary,” she added.

In 2001, Smriti married businessman Zubin Irani and the couple had their first child, son Zohr, in the same year. In September 2003, the couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Zoish. Zubin also has a daughter named Shanelle from his previous marriage.
