Srikanth Trailer: Rajkummar Rao Brings His 'A' Game To Srikanth Bolla Biopic, Jyothika Complements Him

Rajkummar Rao is all set to portray the visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla in his upcoming biopic, and the trailer has just been released. Srikanth Bolla, an Indian entrepreneur, founded Bollant Industries, which offers employment opportunities to unskilled and differently-abled individuals. Born visually impaired in 1992 near Hyderabad, his life story is truly inspiring. Despite facing challenges, he pursued his education at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), being the only visually impaired international student. Upon returning to India, Srikanth dedicated himself to creating job opportunities for people with disabilities. The film featuring Rajkummar Rao aims to honour his extraordinary journey.

The trailer begins with Srikanth opening up on his ambition to become India’s first blind president to President APJ Abdul Kalam. Achieving excellent marks in education, Srikanth develops an interest in the field of science but faces challenges in securing admission. Once he discovers the lack of provisions for visually impaired students to pursue science within the Indian education system, he takes legal action against it. Eventually, he earns a merit scholarship to enroll in MIT. Jyothika stars as his teacher and Alaya F as his love interest. Check out the trailer here:

As the makers are gearing up for the release, Rajkummar Rao shared a clip from when he met the real-life Srikanth Bolla and shared it on his social media.

Besides Rajkummar Rao, Srikanth also stars Jyothika, Alaya F and Sharad Kelkar. Previously, in an exclusive conversation with News18 Showsha, Alaya opened up about working with Rajkummar for the first time and had said, “He’s just so in character – he’s so invested in acting. It’s incredible. I mean, it’s a masterclass watching him do what he does. He’s also really, really sweet, kind and a lovely person. So, it was great working with him!"

Gulshan Kumar and T-Series Presents a T-Series Films & Chalk N Cheese Films Production LLP, ‘Srikanth – Aa Raha Hai Sabki Aankhein Kholne’ is directed by Tushar Hiranandani. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani. It will be released nationwide on May 10, 2024, on the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.
