Thalapathy Vijay is basking in the success of his latest film, The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT). His son Jason Sanjay gears up to join the world of cinema as a filmmaker. The 24-year-old is reportedly set to direct his first project, which is being backed by one of the leading production houses in the country. As per the latest on the release, the makers have finalised this actor to star in the film. Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut was announced last year, according to the earlier reports. It is being produced by Lyca Productions, famed for backing films like the upcoming projects Vettaiyan and L2: Empuraan. Going by the latest report on the Jason’s directorial, Telugu actor Sundeep Kishan has been roped in to play the lead in the film. The actor has reportedly given a thumbs up to the project after a narration of the script and an official announcement is anticipated in the coming days.
If the earlier reports are to be believed, prominent actors like Dulquer Salmaan and Dhruv Vikram were also rumoured to have been roped in for the lead. The pre-production work for the film has reportedly been completed and shooting is expected to start early in 2025. The project’s title and genre are yet to be revealed.
Sundeep Kishan was last seen in Dhanush’s directorial Raayan, in the role of Muthuvelraayan, for which he received critical acclaim. The film starred Dhanush in the titular role, along with Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, S J Suryah among many others. Kalanithi Maran has produced the film under the banner of Sun Pictures. The music in the film is done by A R Rahman, while the cinematographer is Om Prakash while Prasanna GK has done the editing. It was released on July 26, this year.
Sundeep Kishan is known for films like Shor in the City, which was his Bollywood debut, Maanagaram, Nenjil Thunivirundhal. This year, he also featured in films like Captain Miller and Ooru Peru Bhairavakona.
