Vidya Balan Finds Joy In Making Social Media Reels, Shares Experience With Fans
Vidya is reportedly set to return as the iconic Manjulika in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has become a social media sensation for making reels. Vidya, who joined social media roughly two years ago, recently stated she likes creating reels.

Meanwhile, in a recent media interaction, Vidya shared about her experience making reels and going viral on social media. She said, “Two years ago, I was shooting for Anu Menon’s Neeyat in London. During this time, I had a lot of time. My manager asked me why don’t we make reels?”

After her first video went viral, Vidya fell in love with social media. Further, the actress added that since then, she felt so connected with social media that she did not stop. She has created reels on social media to entertain her fans to date.

The actress, who has 9.4 million followers on Instagram, further said “I used to make a reel in a month or two. I took out time to shoot reels and was simply having fun. When it went viral, I realised that I did what I liked, and people were also enjoying it. So I started doing it regularly. I am honestly just having fun.”

Vidya was last seen on screen in the romantic comedy Do Aur Do Pyaar, directed by Shirsha Guha Thakurta. It also stars Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D’Cruz, and Sendhil Ramamurthy in pivotal roles. The film was backed by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar, and Swati Iyer Chawla under the banners Applause Entertainment and Ellipsis Entertainment Production.

Vidya is reportedly set to return as the iconic Manjulika in the upcoming Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri as the main leads.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa was released in 2007, was directed by Priyadarshan, and starred Akshay Kumar, Shiney Ahuja, Ameesha Patel, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav. Manoj Joshi, Asrani, and Vikram Gokhale.

The film was made on a budget of Rs 32 crore and earned Rs 82.837 crore worldwide, thus becoming the eighth-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2007. It received positive reviews from both critics and viewers upon release.

The second instalment, released in 2022, had a new star cast, including Kartik Aaryan in the main role along with Tabu, Kiara Advani, and Rajpal Yadav in the pivotal roles. Anees Bazmee directed the film.
