Renowned South actor Vijay is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film The Greatest Of All Time (GOAT). Ahead of its release, an exciting detail has emerged: the film will feature a special remix of a classic Ilaiyaraaja song. According to reports, Premji has shared this news in an interview. He revealed that the remix is a collaboration between legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja’s son, Yuvan Shankar Raja and Premji himself. This new version of the classic song will bring a fresh, contemporary vibe while paying homage to the original composition.
Reports also suggest that the remix has been shot in a stunning foreign location within the film. Fans can look forward to an energetic and engaging sequence that perfectly complements the film’s narrative.
The Greatest Of All Time is set to make a splash with its release, starting with early shows at 4 AM in Kerala and Karnataka and 9 AM in Tamil Nadu. The film’s ticket sales have been strong, with major theatres and multiplexes seeing a lot of bookings. The pre-release buzz indicates that the film has already made a significant impact, with considerable business being done even before its official release.
According to a report by News18, film trade analyst Ramesh Bala predicts that Vijay’s The Greatest of All Time will break the record for the biggest opening day collection in 2024. He noted that while there were mixed feelings about the songs at first, the excitement has grown significantly since the trailer release. “It will be the biggest opener this year,” he said.
When asked about his box office predictions, Bala said he expects the film to earn around Rs 90 crore worldwide on its first day. In Tamil Nadu, it could make about Rs 30 crore, with Chennai contributing Rs 3 to 5 crore. However, Bala thinks GOAT might not surpass the opening day collection of Vijay’s 2023 release, Leo.
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film revolves around Gandhi who is a hostage negotiator, field agent, and spy working for the Special Anti-Terrorist Squad (SATS). After years of dedicated service, Gandhi is summoned for a high-stakes mission that brings him face-to-face with his tumultuous past, setting the stage for a gripping and perilous confrontation. The film features Joseph Vijay, Prabhu Deva, Prashanth, Sneha, Yogi Babu, Jayaram, and more in key roles.
