Amitabh Bachchan boasts a global fan base that celebrates every milestone in his life. On June 3, the megastar marked his 51st wedding anniversary with his wife, actress Jaya Bachchan. To honour this occasion, a devoted fan from Surat, now residing in New York City, made a special gesture. He distributed T-shirts to Big B fans in NYC.
The video shows several fans holding banners of Amitabh Bachchan, while family photos of him with Jaya Bachchan are displayed in the background on Times Square. “FROM the effort of DEDICATED FAN Sunil Shah of Surat .. he in NYC organised it and distributed hundreds of T-Shirts to people and fans in USA ..my gratitude for this memorable gesture,” Amitabh Bachchan wrote.
The clip highlights how a devoted fan went above and beyond to honour Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan’s 51st wedding anniversary. It also traces the journey of the iconic couple, showcasing moments from Jaya’s debut film, Guddi, to their wedding photos.

The video also featured photos of their lives with their children Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Nanda. The presentation included some old childhood photos of the Bachchan siblings. Lastly, it paid tribute to their family heritage through pictures with their grandchildren, Aaradhya Bachchan, Agastya Nanda and Navya Naveli Nanda.
Interestingly, Sunil Shah, the fan behind this initiative, also commented, “It’s been so many years of being the biggest fan of you sir. You’re the biggest icon of the country for everyone and especially for me. I will continue to make you simple and thank you for doing this amazing gesture for me by posting. This means the world to me. Thank you for all the love.”
Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan tied the knot on June 3, 1973. They have appeared together in several films, including Guddi, Ek Nazar, Bawarchi, Sholay, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Abhimaan and Chupke Chupke, among others.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will soon appear in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, alongside Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and others. Amitabh Bachchan is currently filming for Vettaiyan, which also stars Rajinikanth. Meanwhile, Jaya was recently seen in Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani starring Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi.
