Dia Mirza expressed her gratitude towards her fans for showering love on RHTDM upon its re-release.

Dia Mirza made her acting debut with the 2001 romantic drama Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (RHTDM), co-starring R Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan. While the film failed to perform well at the box office upon its release, it surely received love from the audience over the years. RHTDM was re-released in theatres on August 30, after 23 years of its initial release.

Now, the film’s lead actress can’t thank her fans enough for the love that they have been showering on her first film since its re-release. Dia shared a video on her Instagram account and penned a note expressing her gratitude towards her fans. In the video, the actress looked breathtakingly gorgeous in a fine yellow silk ombre saree featuring a golden fringe border paired with a matching blouse. She shared the video with her film’s song Zara Zara and wrote, “Heart is full” along with the hashtags RHTDM and ZaraZara.

Further, Dia also thanked everyone for loving her latest release, Anubhav Sinha’s crime thriller IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. She added, “Out and about for #IC814OnNetflix promotions as I revel in the love coming in for the re-release of my first film! Who would have thought? Certainly not me. P.S.- Also, so so happy with the rave reviews for IC814 The Kandahar Hijack and all the love the show is getting.”

To celebrate the re-release of Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein in theatres, Madhavan and Dia held a live session on IG to discuss their film and express their gratitude to the audience. Sharing the live video as a collaborative post, the actors wrote, “We just wanted to say a BIG thank you #RHTDM for all the love you have shown us over the last 23 years and the love you are giving the film in theatres right now.”

During Instagram Live, Dia recalled how ‘Maddy’ predicted that the film would connect with the audience and how his prediction came true despite the initial setback. She said, “You had said to me, ‘It is a very special film, and it will really connect with the audience’. I said, ‘I hope so’. Then the film released, and people did not really go to the theatres just to watch it. It broke us; it broke our hearts so much because there was so much anticipation, so much expectation. And we worked so hard. But you were right, Maddy. People may not have made it to the theatres, but then they have made time for it over and over again, over the years and given it so much love.”
