Mira Kapoor is among the most popular Bollywood wives. She tied the knot with actor Shahid Kapoor in 2015 and even after eight years of their marriage, the couple never fails to dish out major couple goals. Mira shares a strong bond with Shahid’s family, especially with her brother-in-law Ishaan Khatter and mother-in-law Neliima Azeem which is quite evident from her social media posts.
Recently, Mira took to her Instagram stories and shared a video of Neliima Azeem, wherein she could be seen showcasing her dancing talent. “Can anybody dance like her! @neliimazeem,” Mira captioned the post.
In the clip, the veteran actress-dancer is seen performing Kathak dance moves with full dedication and grace. She was dressed in a white printed salwar suit and also wore a traditional ghungroo.
For the unversed, Neliima Azeem is an accomplished Kathak dancer and has been trained under the legendary Birju Maharaj’s Kalashram.
She has also showcased her acting prowess in Hindi films and Television shows like Sooryavansham, Sadad, Chhota Sa Ghar, The Sword of Tipu Sultan, Amrapali, Sans and Kashmeer.
The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law often shower praises on each other. Earlier, Shahid’s mom even lauded Mira for bringing the family together.
Neliima said, “She (Mira) always has something new to contribute. I find her very creative. Of course, now, she has broken out into her own and she is doing very well and I am not surprised. She is extremely intelligent… I have been observing how well-informed she is and very calm and easy. No drama, no tantrums, no wanting to get attention, nothing. She has glued the family together. She is not a demanding brat. She had graced our lives.”
Mira, on the other hand, on Neliima’s 65th birthday posted a picture with her MIL which was accompanied by a heartfelt note. Mira wrote, “Happy Birthday Mom. Your infectious laughter, warm hugs, twinkling smile and zest for life make you the one we all fight to be the favourite of. Yet we all know that your favourites are the grandkids because you spoil them unapologetically and are their Dadi Jaan. Mother, in law, but Mom from my heart. Our girls club reigns supreme, boys! @neliimaazeem.”
Actor Shahid Kapoor is Neeliima’s first son with ex-husband Pankaj Kapur. Besides the Ishq Vishk actor, the 65-year-old actress has a younger son Ishaan Khatter with ex-husband Raj Khatter.
Mira and Shahid, on the other hand, share two kids, a daughter Misha (7) and a son Zain (4).
