When Celebrity Kids Reacted to Bizarre Comments and Spoke on Social Issues
From Aaliyah Kashyap to Babil Khan, this is how these celebrity kids hold their ground against trolling on internet.

Celebrity kids, whether they are an active part of the industry or not, have always been an easy target for internet trolls and have been on the receiving end of a lot of unnecessary hate. However, that doesn’t mean they stomach all of it. Some know how to stand their ground, speak against trolling and voice their opinion about other sensitive issues going on around them.

Here are five times star kids who are not yet a part of the film industry raised their voice and reacted to the issues around them and/or involving them:

Aaliyah Kashyap

Anyone who follows filmmaker Anurag Kashyap knows he is not the one to shy away from speaking about issues that he deems important. And his daughter Aaliyah Kashyap has often faced the heat of it. But she is also not someone to shy away and let the trolls say whatever they want. So, when she put up her lingerie pictures on Instagram, they were flooded with vile comments and rape threats, but she made it a point to bring the issue to light and call out the harassers. In an elaborate video, she spoke about the effects the comments had on her mental health and also put out an Instagram post talking about the same. Her reaction surely has the potential to start a conversation around sexism faced by women whenever they try to express themselves.

Krishna Shroff

Actor Tiger Shroff’s sister Krishna Shroff has also faced moral policing by some netizens. Sometime back when she had posted a video of her taking a sunbath with her then boyfriend Eban Hymes, social media users criticised her for wearing a bikini. One even went as far as to say that she is bringing shame to the name of her family by posting such videos. Instead of ignoring it, she gave a befitting reply. When others tried to show support to her, she said addressing the trolls that the people having her back shouldn’t waste a second of their time on these lame comments. “They’re usually from people who hate their own sad lives and aren’t happy with themselves.”

Babil Khan

Late actor Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan is very active on social media. He keeps on sharing memories and anecdotes related to his late father. And he is also very open about the issues that bother him. In 2020, Babil had opened up about the discriminations he has faced based on his religion in a series of heartbreaking posts. He expressed his fear of being judged by his religion due to the country’s “sudden relapse of the religious divide.” He further went on to express his thoughts and said some of his friends have stopped communicating with him because he is from a certain religion.

He also said that his post would invite hateful comments but that didn’t stop Babil from talking about what was weighing him down. And this can certainly inspire others to follow suit and speak about the issues going on around them.

Trishala Dutt

Actor Sanjay Dutt’s daughter Trishala Dutt had a hard time coping up after her boyfriend’s death but that didn’t stop some people from being insensitive. Some time back, during a question-answer session on Instagram, a fan had inquired why Dutt hasn’t disclosed the way her partner passed away. To it, she posted a long reply saying, “I appreciate your question. I do. Let’s all be honest about basic human behaviour and curiosity – It’s natural to want to know how someone passed away. Even if it is ‘none of your business,’ right?” She continued by saying that if one is not entitled to know the specifics of the passing, they should stop asking, as asking for those details help none.

Navya Naveli Nanda

Navya Naveli Nanda, Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter, recently made headlines for reacting to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat’s comment on ripped jeans. She took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of herself in ripped jeans. She captioned it as, “Change your mentality before changing our clothes. Because the only thing shocking here is the message comments like this send to society.”
