Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, two stalwarts of Bollywood, have been dominant at the box office for over three decades. Despite their success, there was a notable clash between their films in 1995, during the early stages of their careers when both actors were emerging as stars.

At that time, Shah Rukh Khan was riding high on the success of back-to-back blockbusters, Karan Arjun and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Concurrently, Aamir Khan had just solidified his position with the hit film Rangeela.

The clash occurred when Aamir Khan’s Akele Hum Akele Tum and Shah Rukh Khan’s Ram Jaane were released simultaneously in 1995. Akele Hum Akele Tum, a romantic drama, hit theaters on November 30, while Ram Jaane was released on December 1.

Both films made a significant impact at the box office, but Shah Rukh Khan emerged victorious in this battle. Ram Jaane outperformed Akele Hum Akele Tum in terms of earnings. Despite the latter being critically acclaimed, it was Shah Rukh Khan who emerged victorious at the box office.

Reports indicate that the total budget for Ram Jaane was around Rs 3.75 crore, with a total box office collection of approximately Rs 15.19 crore. On the other hand, the makers spent a total of Rs 4.50 crore on producing Aamir’s Akele Hum Akele Tum, which earned a total of Rs 12.37 crore.

In the present day, Shah Rukh Khan is impressing audiences with his performance in Rajkumar Hirani’s comedy-drama Dunki, released worldwide on December 21. The film, also starring Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and Boman Irani, has been faring well at the box office, collecting Rs 300 crores worldwide.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan’s most recent appearance was in a cameo role in Salaam Venky, released last year. Before that, he was seen in Lal Singh Chaddha, which failed horribly at the box office.

The clash between these two Bollywood giants in 1995 serves as a noteworthy chapter in the cinematic history of Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, both of whom have continued to shape the industry with their remarkable contributions.
