The possibility of Yoo Jae Myung's participation in Knock Off was confirmed by his agency, ACE FACTORY. Kim Soo Hyun's involvement was first hinted at in March.

Yoo Jae-myung is in discussions to join Kim Soo-hyun in the potential cast lineup for the upcoming drama Knock Off (working title). Yoo Jae Myung, the popular actor known for his roles in Itaewon Class, Vincenzo, and Song of the Bandits, among others, could be collaborating with Kim Soo Hyun, one of Korea’s most esteemed actors recognised for his performances in My Love From The Star, The Moon Embracing the Sun, Dream High, and his recent success, Queen of Tears. The possibility of Yoo Jae-myung’s participation in Knock Off was confirmed by his agency, ACE FACTORY, on May 1. They revealed that discussions are progressing well from Yoo Jae-myung’s perspective.

Knock Off, helmed by director Park Hyun Suk, known for his work on popular dramas like Forest of Secrets 2 (also known as Stranger 2), Uncontrollably Fond, and Song of the Bandits, is described as a black comedy. Interestingly, Yoo Jae-myung has previously collaborated with Park Hyun Suk in Song of the Bandits and Forest of Secrets (Stranger).

The drama is set for release on a streaming platform, although specific details about the series are still under wraps.

Kim Soo-hyun’s involvement in Knock Off was first hinted at by his agency in March. On March 21, OSEN reported that Kim Soo Hyun was seriously considering a role in the drama. Confirming the report, a representative from Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, GOLDMEDALIST, stated that discussions were ongoing. Furthermore, a source from the production company disclosed that Kim Soo Hyun is being considered for the lead role, reports Soompi.

Additionally, reports have indicated that Kim Si Eun is also in talks to join the cast of Knock Off. On April 1, OSEN reported that Kim Si Eun was set to play the female lead alongside Kim Soo-hyun. Responding to the report, a source from GOLDMEDALIST stated that she has been offered the role and is currently reviewing it positively.

Kim Si Eun, who made her debut in 2013, has appeared in various projects, including Special Labor Inspector, Run On, Mental Coach Jegal, and the successful film Next Sohee. It was also previously announced that Kim Si Eun would be appearing in Squid Game 2.
