Bollywood star Manoj Bajpayee and his wife, Shabana Raza Bajpayee, are making headlines with their recent real estate transaction. Reportedly, they have sold a luxury apartment still under construction in Mumbai’s upscale Mahalaxmi area for Rs 9 crore. The high-rise apartment, situated on the 47th floor of a new tower, spans 1,247 square feet and comes with two dedicated parking spots. The deal, finalised on August 16, included a substantial stamp duty of Rs 54 lakh, according to Bollywood Hungama. Manoj and Shabana originally purchased the apartment in April 2013 for Rs 6.40 crore, with a stamp duty of Rs 32 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 30,000 at that time.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the apartment is located in Minerva Towers, a luxury project by Lokhandwala Kataria Constructions. The tower features spacious 3 and 4 BHK apartments with views of the Arabian Sea and Mahalaxmi Race Course. Conveniently situated near major business hubs like Lower Parel, Worli and Nariman Point, the development offers top-notch amenities, including a large swimming pool, gym, clubhouse, spa and gardens.
Meanwhile, Manoj Bajpayee has followed in the footsteps of other Bollywood stars, such as Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, and Ajay Devgn, by investing in commercial properties. The Gangs of Wasseypur star recently invested Rs 32 crore in four office units in Oshiwara, Mumbai. The office spaces, located in the Signature Building on Veera Desai Road, were registered on October 4, 2023. Reports indicate that Bajpayee paid less than Rs 2 crore in stamp duty for these office units.
Other than the Mahalaxmi apartment, Manoj Bajpayee and Shabana Raza, had also invested in a luxury property in 2021. They purchased a house worth Rs 4 crore in Oberoi Springs, located in Andheri, Mumbai.
On the work front, Manoj Bajpayee is busy shooting for The Family Man season 3 for Amazon Prime.
