The OnePlus Open foldable phone has launched in India on Thursday. As rituals go, the company has been occupied with marketing its product pre-launch with all sorts of teasers, including even showing the device in the hand of a celebrity. The OnePlus Open foldable has been made with Oppo and it is basically the global variant of the Oppo Find N3 that was unveiled earlier on Thursday. The new foldable has no dearth of power and image prowess, courtesy Qualcomm and Hasselblad, respectively.

The OnePlus Open has launched in India at Rs 1,39,999 and for this price you get the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant. OnePlus Open will be available via open sale from October 27 onwards. There some bank offers and exchange discounts for people trading in their old device.

The OnePlus Open gets a 7.82-inch Flexi Fluid LTPO 3.0 AMOLED 2K resolution screen when you unfold the device, while the outer screen is a 6.31-inch LTPO 3.0 AMOLED panel that supports Dolby Vision and 2800 nits of peak brightness. Both the displays support 120Hz refresh rate and offer pixel density of 431 ppi. The foldable weighs a meaty 239 grams and comes with a thickness of 11.7mm when you fold the Open.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage which is non-expandable. The foldable will run the OxygenOS 13 version that will have pre-loaded apps, as the company had confirmed earlier. The software has been tweaked to be compatible with a foldable that means multi-screen support and offer the fluidity for a seamless experience. More importantly, OnePlus announced that the foldable phone will get 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.
On the imaging front, OnePlus Open is one camera behemoth. It has a triple rear camera system that consists of a 48MP sensor with OIS, a 48MP ultrawide sensor and a 64MP telephoto sensor, also with OIS. The cover display has a 32MP shooter while the folded version features a 20MP camera. And finally, you have a 4805mAh battery that supports 67W fast wired charging but no wireless charging offered on the device.
