Raj Kundra is currently busy promoting his acting debut movie titled UT – 69. The film is based on the time Raj spent in jail in 2022 after he was arrested in connection to a pornography case. In a recent interview, Raj reacted to being called a ‘porn king’ and admitted that it `hurts’ when he reads such comments.
“Of, course it hurts. You’d lie if you said it doesn’t hurt but I think I watched an interview where Karan Johar was saying how he’s handling trollers and I’m literally doing it the same way. I’m just so used to them now over the last two years same cheez (thing) on repeat. Every social media whenever my post with mask man goes out it’s just cut paste copy the same thing,” Raj Kundra told Pinkvilla.
The businessman-turned-actor also reacted to the controversies surrounding the film and receiving “hatred” from the media after a social media user called for a “boycott” of his movie. “The way this man has insulted the dignity of women, his film should be banned. Boycott this movie,” read the tweet. To this, Raj replied, “Plz do name even ONE woman who can back your claims mam. Easy to throw stones but plz back the statement with evidence. God bless you my dear. This hatred of people is only media created. #truthwillprevail #UT69.”
At the trailer launch of UT 69, Raj had exclusively told News18 about how his wife, Shilpa, reacted when he first expressed his desire of making a film on himself. “She was a few feet away from me when I decided to tell her that I am making a film. I didn’t want to go too close to her (laughs), he said.
UT 69 is all set to hit the big screen on November 3.
