Ranveer, Deepika, Ranbir in a Love Triangle? Karan Johar Reveals He Wants To Remake Sangam With Trio

Ranveer Singh wants to do a love triangle with Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor. The actor made the jaw-dropping confession on the first episode of Koffee With Karan 8. Ranveer not only revealed he was comfortable working in a love story with Deepika’s ex-boyfriend but also shared that Karan once suggested to remake Sangam with the trio. For the unversed, Sangam revolved around two best friends who fell in love with the same girl.

The film was released in 1964 and it starred Raj Kapoor, Vyjayanthimala and Rajendra Kumar in the lead roles. The film was directed by Raj Kapoor himself and was a blockbuster. During the rapid fire round on Koffee With Karan 8 episode 1, Karan Johar asked Ranveer Singh: “In a love triangle featuring you and Deepika, which male actor would you not mind being cast to be the third character?”

Ranveer replied, “Ranbir.” He then revealed, “You wanted to make Sangam with the three of us, right?” Karan replied, “Yes.” Ranveer then pulled him for not going ahead with his plans. “You are always boasting but make nothing concrete.” Karan said he can still make Sangam. “Sign it?” Karan asked, to which Deepika replied, “Done.” “I am dying to (make it),” Karan said.

Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh came together for the first time in front of the cameras in 2016. The actors sat down for a fun Koffee Witj Karan episode that year and gave fans a glimpse at their bromance. Fans have been hoping that they unite for a movie some day. However, the wait has been long.

Apart from speaking about working with Ranbir on Sangam remake, Ranveer also said that if he had to remake the now-iconic Dola Re Dola performance from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, it would be with Ranbir Kapoor. Despite the impressive answers, the Koffee hamper went to Deepika Padukone.
