Sanya Malhotra Shares SHOCKING Incident of Being Eve Teased In Delhi Metro: 'They Started Touching...'
Sanya Malhotra opened up about the time she was eve teased in a metro in Delhi. She revealed how she escaped from the situation.

Sanya Malhotra opened up about a horrifying eve teasing incident she experienced in Delhi. The Jawan actress said that she was travelling in the Delhi Metro one day when a group of four to five men began teasing her. Sanya revealed that they tried to touch her as well. While she tried to fight back, she was worried about her safety and chose not to react strongly. She was shocked to see that no one in the metro came to her help and she eventually had to get off a busy metro station and run for her safety.

“I was in a metro and there were 4 to 5 boys. And they were giving a bad vibe. I think women get to know when things are not right. Then they started teasing and they started touching. At that point, even if you get angry… I felt very helpless. I knew if I said too much, anything could happen in such situations,” she said, speaking with Hauterrfly’s Male Feminist.

“We say ‘Why did you just listen to it all and not respond or do something?’ Situation aati hai haath pair fool jaate hain you feel like yaha se bas safe nikalna hai (When the situation arises, you go numb and only think of escaping to a safe space),” she added.

Sanya revealed, “To my surprise, no one in the metro helped. I got out at Rajiv Chowk, I started running ant thye started following me. They were all 6’1, 6’2, very tall, very muscular men. Thank god there’s a lot of crowd at Rajiv Chowk. I managed to escape. I went into a washroom, I called my father up. I was like ‘Please come, pick me up.’ It was not a good day.” A video of the chat was shared on Instagram in which Sanya was seen getting emotional. Although the chat took place a few weeks ago, the snippet has now gone viral.

For the unversed, Sanya was born in Delhi and studied at Gargi College before she moved to Mumbai. She tried her hand at Dance India Dance but got her breakthrough in Dangal (2016). This year alone she was seen in three movies — Jawan, Kathal and Sam Bahadur.
