Will BTS Disband Or Continue After The 2025 Reunion? Find Out

South Korean boyband BTS members — Jungkook, Jimin, Jin V, SUGA, J-Hope and RM are currently serving their 18-month tenure in the military. Jin, the eldest of the septet enlisted in the Army in 2022, followed by J-Hope and Suga. The rest — Jungkook, Jimin, V, and RM enrolled themselves last year in December. According to the group’s management company BigHit Music, after the completion of their military period, the boys would be reuniting again, sometime in 2025. While fans aka the BTS Army are waiting with bated breaths for the reunion, the group’s latest docu-series BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star has shed light on the same.

The temporary pause in BTS’ musical activities has posed a serious question about the group’s future. It is yet to be determined whether the boys will continue to dominate the music industry after their reunion or if there is a different horizon to the entire situation. The BTS Army is already gripped by anxiousness over BTS’ speculated disbandment. If the team decides to part ways, it would break the hearts of millions of fans globally.

Dismissing the anticipation in the eight-episode of BTS Monuments: Beyond The Star, SUGA reassured fans that the BTS members are willing to stay united for 10 more years to come and surprise the BTS Army with a “great performance". “We want to put on a great performance, and it’s so fun when we meet ARMY. I think we can do 10 more years for just that reason alone," he said. SUGA’s words come with the underlined meaning that if fans continue to shower their love on them, they would likely go on with their musical renditions, together as a group.

J-Hope in the same episode also asserted, “I always hope that BTS can stay as a team and be healthy no matter what awaits us. I believe BTS’ next step is to keep things going regardless of what happens and regardless of the process, I believe it would be meaningful and great if we stayed united." While Jimin expressed his desire to “continue our lives together for a long time", RM called himself fortunate for having six members with whom he could share his “ concerns and troubles." To conclude, Jungkook stated that he was hopeful for the “new future" ahead.

While Jin will retire from his military duties in June 2024, J-Hope will return in September, followed by SUGA.
