The first seat allocation list for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2024 counselling has been released by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) today, December 26. The seat allocation list is now available for viewing on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in, for those who applied for the counselling procedure for admission to law courses.
Candidates will have the option to either freeze, float, or withdraw from the subsequent rounds of counselling. Candidates who are granted a seat based on their choices must pay a confirmation fee of Rs 20,000 (non-refundable) before choosing the ‘freeze’ or ‘float’ option by the deadline of January 2, 2024.
CLAT counselling 2024 merit list: How to check
Step 1: Go to the official CLAT website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Step 2: Enter your login information, such as your registration ID and password.
Step 3: On the screen, the CLAT 2024 counselling first allotment list will be shown.
Step 4: Verify your seat allotment result and save the document for future reference.
The ‘Freeze’ option should be selected if the candidate is satisfied with their seat assignment and has no interest in going on to the next round. The ‘Float’ option is available to those who have not received their first choice NLU seat and would want to keep things open in the hopes of receiving a higher preference NLU seat. The third choice is to ‘Exit’. If the candidate does not choose to continue with the Counselling Process, this option may be selected.
A candidate will be deemed to be “Not Interested” and have their name removed from the Admissions Counselling Process if, after being given a seat, they choose not to use any of the aforementioned options within the allotted time frame during that particular round of the process.
The second seat allocation list is scheduled to be revealed on January 8, 2024, followed by the third seat allotment list on January 22, 2024, the fourth allotment list on May 20, and the fifth and final list on May 28.
