The Delhi University (DU) has started three new postgraduate programmes, offering students a unique blend of traditional wisdom and contemporary knowledge. Interestingly, candidates are not required to take any entrance test for these courses. Candidates will be eligible to take admission in these courses on the basis of merit. According to the University of Delhi’s official website, aspiring candidates can now apply for the MA in Hindu Studies, MA in Chinese Studies, and the PG Diploma in Cyber Security and Law until September 30.
MA in Hindu Studies
The MA in Hindu Studies is a unique programme designed to integrate the rich heritage of Hindu philosophy with modern subjects such as computer science, informatics, commerce, and political science. It caters to diverse aspirants, emphasising both contemporary career prospects and a deep understanding of the Hindu ethos. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in any field are eligible to apply.
The programme offers a total of 60 seats, distributed across various categories as follows:
– Unreserved category: 24 seats
– SC (Scheduled Caste): 9 seats
– ST (Scheduled Tribe): 5 seats
– OBC (Other Backward Classes): 16 seats
– EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): 6 seats
MA in Chinese Studies
Delhi University also invites applications for the MA in Chinese Studies programme, promoting cross-cultural understanding. To be eligible, candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised Indian or foreign university with at least 50% marks. Alternatively, they should hold a one-year (full-time) postgraduate Intensive Advanced Diploma Course in Chinese from DU or a UGC-recognised institution.
There are a total of 49 seats available, distributed as follows:
– General category: 19 seats
– SC (Scheduled Caste): 7 seats
– ST (Scheduled Tribe): 4 seats
– OBC (Other Backward Classes): 13 seats

PG Diploma in Cyber Security & Law
For those interested in cyber security and law, DU offers the PG Diploma in Cyber Security & Law. Admission is based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying degree examination. Graduates with backgrounds in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, Software Development, or Computer Engineering are eligible to apply.
