World champion Neeraj Chopra contributed to the allure of the Ice Palace by donating one of his iconic javelins.

Olympic and world champion Neeraj Chopra, who has reached the zenith in the sport of javelin, has been aptly honoured at Jungfraujoch, known as the ‘Top of Europe’.

Carved into the heart of a glacier, The Ice Palace at Jungfraujoch, showcases breathtaking ice sculptures, tunnels, and caverns. Visitors explore a frosty world, marveling at the artistry of nature in this sub-zero masterpiece.

Acknowledging Chopra’s remarkable accomplishments that have served as inspiration in the world of sports, Switzerland Tourism and Jungfraujoch proudly welcomed the sports icon to unveil a commemorative plaque. Neeraj contributed to the allure of the Ice Palace by donating one of his iconic javelins. The frozen javelin, alongside the plaque will enhance the experience for visitors especially those from India.

Jungfrau railways is all set to celebrate sporting excellence by welcoming Neeraj Chopra onto its Wall of Fame, alongside esteemed stars such as Roger Federer, Rory McIlroy, and many more.

This distinguished honor is a testament to Neeraj’s extraordinary achievements, placing him among the illustrious names commemorated at this high-altitude marvel. The Wall of Fame at Jungfraujoch serves as a testament to the spirit of accomplishment and dedication, and the addition of Neeraj Chopra’s name further enriches this legacy, inspiring all who visit this remarkable destination.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude to the board for recognizing his contribution through this honour, Neeraj said, “I am humbled by the love and appreciation I have received in this country. To have a plaque installed here in this stunning Ice Palace was beyond my wildest dreams, yet here I am. I feel on top of the world, as I stand at the Top of Europe!”

Chopra enthralled the attendees by doing what he does best – showcasing his Javelin-throwing skills. He also gifted his Javelin to the Ice Palace. This is Neeraj’s second gift for the country with the first being the Javelin he gifted to the Olympic Museum in Switzerland.
