TISS NET 2024 Discontinued, Admissions to PG Programmes Now Via CUET PG, CAT
The decision was made in accordance with the Ministry of Education's and UGC mandate to conduct CUET for enrollment to graduate degrees in central universities

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) made the decision to discontinue TISS NET 2024 and instead provide admission to all of its postgraduate degrees, with the exception of two, through the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate (CUET PG) for the 2024-25 academic year. The institute announced on November 14 that admission to the two other programmes – MA in human resource management and labour relations and MA in organisation development, change, and leadership – will be based on Common Admission Test (CAT) scores. The institution also stated that further information, updates, and notifications would be made available on the admissions website, admissions.tiss.edu, in the weeks to come.

The decision was made in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s and University Grants Commission’s (UGC) mandate to conduct CUET for enrollment to graduate degrees in central, state, and other participating universities.

For applicants looking to be admitted to postgraduate programmes at all central universities and other participating institutions, including as state universities and private universities throughout the nation, CUET PG offers a single window of chances for enrolment. It has been reported that around 180 higher education institutions, including private, state, and central colleges and universities, have partnered with CUET-PG to handle the admission function. Details about CUET PG may be found at cuet.nta.nic.in. CUET PG 2024 is scheduled to take place between March 11 and March 28, 2024.

“TISS does not assume responsibility for any information provided by sources other than the Institute website and the Admissions Helpline,” according to the press release on TISS’ official website.

In the past, the Tata Institute of Social Sciences held the national TISS NET to select students for 57 master’s programmes at the Mumbai, Hyderabad, Tuljapur, and Guwahati campuses (Master of Arts, Master of Science, and BEd-MEd integrated).
