The Union Public Service Commission has started the application process for Detailed Application Form II (DAF-II) on its official website, upsc.gov.in. Candidates who have cleared the UPSC CSE 2023 main exam will be able to fill out the DAF II online for the interview round. The last date to apply is December 15, up till 6 pm. Those who successfully apply for the interview round will be issued e-summon letter containing the date and time of the personality test.
“Therefore, in accordance with the aforesaid provisions of the Rules of the Examination, all these candidates have to fill up and submit DAF-II ONLINE only, which will be available on the Website of the Union Public Service Commission (https://upsconline.nic.in) during the period from 09th December, 2023 to 15th December, 2023 till 6:00 P.M. failing which his/her candidature shall stand cancelled and no correspondence will be entertained by the Commission in this regard. Further, no e-Summon letter will be issued to such candidates,” states the official notice by the commission.
Candidates must note that the interview or personality test carries a weighted score of 275. For ranking purposes, candidates’ scores on the required written exam papers (papers I through VII) and the interview will be taken into consideration.
UPSC CSE 2023 DAF II: HOW TO APPLY
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Step 2: Click on the link for UPSC CSE 2023 DAF II on the homepage.
Step 3: Click on the exam name and register yourself.
Step 4: Fill in the necessary details and upload the required documents to complete the application form.
Step 5: Proceed to pay the application fee.
Step 6: Submit the application form and save it for future reference.
The UPSC announced the results of the Civil Services Main Exam 2023 on December 8. The commission had withheld the results of 28 candidates due to pending court cases. The main examination was held this year from September 15 to September 24. Within 15 days, the final results were published. The CSE mains written exam consists of a total weight of 1750 marks.
