New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accepted his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina's invitation to visit India's eastern neighbour.

PM has also written a letter to Hasina where he hopes to foster new era of cooperation and connectivity between the two countries.

The invite comes even as External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is already in Bangaldesh to discuss key bilateral ties.

It has to be noted that Modi has always pitched for a 'neighbours first' policy and his maiden foreign visit was to Bhutan, another vital neighbour of India.
