AJSU manifesto: Special status for Jharkhand, 50 lakh new jobs
AJSU President Sudesh Mahto said that his party will raise demand for special status for Jharkhand in Parliament.

Ranchi: All Jharkhand Students Union has promised to work for special status for Jharkhand, production of 10,000 mega watts of electricity, creation of 50 lakh jobs and a world-class state capital in Ranchi in the party manifesto released on Saturday in Ranchi.

Stressing on the demand for special status for Jharkhand without which the state would not be able to progress, AJSU President Sudesh Mahto said that his party will raise this matter in Parliament.

AJSU leader and Dhanbad candidate Hemlata S Mohan told IBNLive that the party's stress is on improving the states' educational standard, establishment of higher and technical education institutes and improvement of rural connectivity. She added that the party will also focus on improving the state of agricultural by laying stress on interlinking of rivers for better irrigation facility.

The manifesto also supports foreign direct investment in retail.

Roads to be widened at 40 interstate junctions. Construction of roads at 5 places along railway routes with an average length of 25 km.

100 per cent water supply through pipeline
