Bihar polls: LJP releases first list of 12 candidates, Paswan's brother and nephew included

The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) on Friday released its first list of candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections, which is set to begin on October 12. As many as 12 candidates, spread over different phases, were declared in the first list released by Ram Vilas Paswan's son Chirag Paswan.

While names of six candidates were announced for the first phase, one each was declared for the third and fourth phases. Names of four candidates were declared for the fifth and last phase of the state polls.

Among others, the list also features the names of LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan’s brother and nephew. One of the candidates, Md Yousuf Khan, is the son of LJP MP Mehboob Ali Kaiser.
