126. Chhindwara is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Chhindwara Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Chhindwara falls in Chhindwara district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a semi-urban seat.
There are a total of 2,55,678 voters in the seat, which includes 1,30,034 male voters, and 1,25,636 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Chhindwara recorded a voter turnout of 79.61%. In 2013 the turnout was 80.35%, and in 2008 it was 78.77%.
In 2013, Choudhary Chandrabhansingh Kubersingh of BJP won the seat by a margin of 24,778 votes (13.53%). Choudhary Chandrabhansingh Kubersingh secured 53.41% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 3,444 votes (2.49%), registering 46.81% of the total votes polled.
