Jaipur: Comparing development in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh with that in Rajasthan, state BJP president Vasundhara Raje on Thursday accused Congress of keeping the state in a "ditch" in last 50 years. "In last fifteen years, Narendra Modi has developed Gujarat, making it known not only in the country but in entire world. In last ten years, Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Chouhan and Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh have reformed their states," Raje said while addressing 'Suraj Sankalp yatra' at Taranagar in the state.
"But Congress rule over 50 years has kept Rajasthan in the ditch," she said. "If people make the mistake of casting vote for Congress again in upcoming assembly polls, the state would go to bottom...or ruined," she said, urging people to vote for the saffron party.
Rajasthan was deprived of infrastructure and basic amenities like water, power, road, education and medical facilities because Congress always indulged in politics of vote and did not take the state forward, she alleged, according to a party release issued Jaipur. Raje promised if BJP came to power, Chaudhary Kumbha Ram Lift Canal would be built.
