V Narayanasamy said that projections in 2004 and 2009 had proved wrong with the party sailing to power.
Chennai: With TV channels coming out with results of exit polls, senior Congress leader and Union Minister in PMO, V Narayanasamy on Monday said that projections in 2004 and 2009 had proved wrong with the party sailing to power.
Speaking to reporters, he also expressed hope that Congress will get the support of the third front and form government. "As far as exit polls are concerned, they are just emerging. In the present circumstances, I see third front supporting Congress to form government," he said.
He recalled that contrary to exit poll predictions in 2004 that BJP would retain power, Congress had not only won the elections that year but also retained power in 2009, proving exit polls wrong.
