New Delhi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) supremo Shibu Soren, whose party lawmakers' support is seen as vital for UPA government's survival in the trust vote in Lok Sabha on Tuesday, met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh here on Saturday night.
CNN-IBN sources report that Soren is likely to get a Cabinet berth in the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government (UPA) Government.
Though the JMM is officially a UPA coalition partner, Soren has been in touch with the opposition BJP as well, through this week.
He's reportedly weighing a choice between the Chief Ministership of Jharkhand, that the BJP is promising, and the portfolio of Coal Minister, that the UPA might once again give him.
There was no official word from either side on what transpired at the meeting between the two leaders and Soren did not speak to the mediapersons outside the PM's official residence.
However, a meeting of the JMM office bearers on Sunday would take a final call.
Soren's meeting came a day ahead of the meeting of JMM's office bearers, including five Lok Sabha members, tomorrow to finalise its stand.
Reaching out to Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), the Prime Minister has invited Soren and four other party Lok Sabha members of the party to his dinner for UPA constituents on Sunday night.
