New Delhi: Former Army Chief General VK Singh is set to share dais with Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP campaign committee chief Narendra Modi on September 15. General Singh will share dais with Modi at a rally of ex-servicemen in Rewari.
However, General Singh has denied he's joining the BJP or fighting on a BJP ticket. He had spoken at an event hosted by the Overseas Friends of BJP in New Jersey last month.
Reports had said that General Singh may contest from Raebareli. But talking to CNN-IBN's Anubha Bhonsle on Sunday, General Singh denied joining the BJP.
"I think all those reports are very speculative. I have not been approached by anyone and I have not approached anybody," General Singh said.
"There is a change required in the country and I don't mind going to any forum, any platform to tell people that we need to unite to bring about a change which will make the country better," General Singh added.
