There are multiple avenues available for voters to verify their inclusion in the voter list. Here’s a simple guide on how to check if your name is on the voter list online:
- Go to the government’s electoral search website using your smartphone/computer: (https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in/).
- On the website, you’ll find three ways to search for your name: Search by Details, Search by EPIC, and Search by Mobile.
For Search by Details:
Step 1: Choose your State and language.
Step 2: Fill in your personal information – Name, Middle Name, Surname, Date of Birth, Age, Gender, Relatives’ Name, and Last Name.
Step 3: Provide your Location – District and Assembly Constituency. If you’re not sure about your Assembly Constituency, you can try the other methods.
Step 4: Enter the Captcha code and click on Search.
For Search by EPIC:
Step 1: Select your language.
Step 2: Enter your EPIC Number and State.
Step 3: Type in the Captcha code and click on Search.
For Search by Mobile:
Step 1: Choose your State and language.
Step 2: Enter your mobile number and the Captcha code.
Step 3: Click on “Send OTP” to receive a one-time password on your smartphone.
Step 4: Enter the OTP you received on your smartphone and click on Search.
After completing any of these methods, you should find your name in the voter’s list along with personal details, polling station information, confirmed voting date, and election official details.
The ECI regularly updates the voter’s list, removing names due to various reasons like change of address, incorrect information, fraudulent entries, or the death of individuals. If you encounter any issues or have queries, contact the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Booth Level Officer (BLO) using the provided contact details following the above steps.
