Modi's abrasive hunger for power has no limits: Digvijaya
Narendra Modi had criticised Manmohan Singh's Independence Day speech and accused him of promoting dynasty politics.

New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh yet again took an opportunity to hit out on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in his tweet on Friday saying that Modi's hunger for power has no limits.

'On Modi's Independence Speech, I and Advani ji are on the same page. 'Modi's abrasive hunger for Power has no limits,' he tweeted.

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the Prime Minister, tearing into Manmohan Singh's last Independence Day speech ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Modi had given a point-by-point rebuttal of Singh's speech while arguing that the Prime Minister had failed to give direction to the country which had been reeling under the burden of corruption, slow economic growth, a hostile neighbourhood and policy paralysis.

"You unfurled the Tricolour so many times but the issue you raised were the same as Pandit Nehru sixty years ago. So what has changed? What have you given?" Modi said.

Senior BJP leader LK Advani criticised Modi for his comments on the Prime Minister on Thursday and said that on a day like Independence Day leaders should not be critical of others. "I heard the Prime Minister, today on Independence Day, without criticising anybody, we all should realise that India has unlimited potential for the future," he said.

Advani, had also said, "The Prime Minister has enumerated the achievements and the shortcomings of this decade. We should now be concerned about making the decade starting from 2014 an unprecedented one in India's history."
