New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief minister Narendra Modi on Sunday applauded the contributions of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi while addressing a group of advertisers in Mumbai.

Modi briefed the advertisers about the image of 'Brand India' and said that India has not been effectively presented as a brand to the world.

Modi said, "The first thing we need is faith in ourselves. If you do not have faith in your own product then nothing can happen. You find many orators. But there will be few communicators. Greatest communicator of last century was Mahatma Gandhi."

"We must not have colonial mind set, if we have to build our brand. Those who are talking about global warming are those who themselves have exploited the nature. Had we presented Gandhi ji's values to the world then we would not have to try for Brand India. World would be coming here to find Gandhi," he said
