Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitsh Kumar has hit out at his former ally, the BJP, saying that the saffron party has given a communal tone to the recent Patna blasts.
"The BJP is trying to raise communal tensions in Bihar, but the state is committed to maintain communal harmony. The people of Bihar have rejected the BJP's brand of communal politics and I have full faith that they will do the same in the future," Nitish said referring to BJP's 'Shaheed Asthi Yatras'.
BJP has said it will hold 'Shaheed Asthi Yatras' on Friday to pay respect to those killed in the blasts.
Sushil Modi will lead the rally from Supaul and BJP General Secretary Rajiv Pratap Rudy and state BJP President Mangal Pandey will start another from Gopalganj.
The Leader of the Opposition would take out yet another from Kaimur district while party National Vice-President CP Thakur will be in Begusarai, the release said.
