Bijnor: Social activist Anna Hazare, who is spearheading agitation against the Land Acquisition Bill, on Thursday said Prime Minister will not accept his suggestions on the issue as Narendra Modi is "allergic" to him.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not accept my suggestions on the Land Acquisition Bill as during the Lok Sabha elections, I had called Modi and Rahul Gandhi pro-industrialists. This statement has made them allergic to me," he told reporters.
The government is pro-industrialists and it wants to forcefully acquire land owned by the farmers, Hazare said. He also questioned the need to bring the changes in the Land Acquisition Act when an agreement was already in place in 2013.
Proposing a new action plan for the agitation, he said that a team of 8-9 leaders will soon be formed which will mobilise the movement in the villages.
