20. Sewda is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Bhind (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Sewda falls in Datia district and Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,71,760 voters in the seat, which includes 93,166 male voters, and 78,593 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Sewda recorded a voter turnout of 71.4%. In 2013 the turnout was 72.04%, and in 2008 it was 73.38%.
In 2013, Pradeep Agarwal of BJP won the seat by a margin of 8,809 votes (7.51%). Pradeep Agarwal secured 27.62% of the total votes polled.
BSP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 3,276 votes (3.54%), registering 24.63% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, INC led in the Sewda Assembly segment of the Bhind (SC) Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
