Congress chief was admitted to hospital on Jan. 1 for chest infection.
New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi was on Sunday discharged from a Delhi hospital after six days of treatment for a chest infection.
Sonia, who is the chairperson of the United Progressive Alliance, was admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on January 1 with chest infection and breathing problems.
"She has recovered from her illness and has been discharged," said P K Rao, chairman of the board of the hospital.
"She is stable and has been advised to continue rest," said Rao.
Sonia, 61, was being treated by a team of three doctors. The hospital said she had "chest infection".
